TALENTED YOUTH AWARDS 3RD STAGE WINNERS

OTEKO, the marine terminals operator at the port of Taman, jointly with municipal authorities’ representatives and experts has awarded 25 schoolchildren and students-winners of the III stage of the program to support talented youth. All the runners up received laptops, tablet computers and smart speakers from the organiser.

To win, the participants had to present not only their vision of the Taman Peninsula future, but also to demonstrate their achievements in studies, sports, creative and scientific work, as well as in volunteer activities.

Dozens of ideas - from import substitution and infrastructure development to geological surveys and agriculture support - were submitted by the young contest participants. Many of them would like to return home and apply their new knowledge into the development of their native Peninsula. Among them are tomorrow's architects, engineers and IT experts. One of the participants discovered the unexplored scientific potential of the peninsula and suggested to focus on structuring and matching archaeological finds in order to attract ever more scientists to Taman.

Each work revealed the possible future of the Taman Peninsula in its own way. What unites them all is a sincere desire to learn and work for the benefit of their birthplace.

"All the contestants displayed creativity, talent, and a unique vision of Taman development. It's nice to realise that so many young people, real visionaries, very soon, with their own ideas and hands, will begin to shape the future of their native peninsula. Owing to their essays we are able to glimpse into the future today", - noted Alexander Burmaka, Director for Corporate and Social Responsibility at OTEKO, awarding the winners and laureates.

During the two previous stages of OTEKO's talented youth support program, Taman students with the highest grades and VCE scores received financial aid from the Company. Most invested it into in preparation for enrolling and studying at universities.

The names of the winners are published on TvoiGolosTaman.rf.
